Dr. Abbott teaches other doctors inside and outside his practice. He utilizes his extensive training and experience to treat even the most challenging dental situations. He has been delivering cosmetic, implant, and functional solutions to patients for over 10 years. His commitment to “doing it right” and ability to “handle just about anything” has won him the admiration of patients and other doctors. A big bonus is that Dr. Abbott uses his expertise to prevent big problems from ever happening.
Dr. Abbott graduated from Loma Linda University in 2001, in the treatment of the medically complex patient, the techniques of sedation dentistry for the fearful patient and complex dental surgery.
He has been helping patients so they can enjoy eating and smiling again with dental implants since 2001. He has developed special methods of implant dentistry to “rescue” the denture patient and those with debilitated teeth needing complete reconstructions. He has also developed special techniques in sedation dentistry for the fearful patient. All treatment is performed in the same office. This combined with advanced techniques allow even the most compromised individual to return to a life of enjoying dental health.
He teaches other dentists in the art and science of dental implants and implant cosmetics so that his methods can help other Phoenix area residents outside of his own practice. While in dental school, he has lectured on head and neck anatomy. He was on the faculty at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. His practice is recognized for environmentally responsible dentistry with the highest ratings and awards possible. He is endorsed by more colleagues than any other Phoenix doctor with a practice that has a similar focus.
For their patient’s benefit, advanced learning and the implementation of new technologies at the leading edge of dentistry is a constant for Dr. Abbott and his office of professionals. The friendly team is known for their down to earth and non-technical communication style making complex dentistry easy to understand.

Recognitions and Awards:
Dr. Abbott has a long history of achievement from his younger days in high school to college and now in his professional life. In high school, he achieved numerous academic awards and along the way participated in golf, basketball, and baseball.
As a Collegian, he was active in the American Chemical Society, numerous academic organizations, the Andrews University Student Association, and played trumpet with the university band and orchestra. During dental school, he was the research assistant to Dr. Philip Boyne, who pioneered many of the implant and bone grafting procedures and materials that make implant dentistry common place today. Dr. Abbott also pioneered a new genetic antibiotic to treat gum disease. He also lectured for the department of anatomy while in school.
He now teaches other dentists in proprietary methods that he has developed to restore the complex dental patient.

Personal:
As a first generation dentist, Dr. Abbott was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He moved to Marshall, Michigan, a small town in southern Michigan. Dr. Abbott grew up canoeing, waterskiing, and generally roaming the rural countryside with his brother, who also is a dentist. After finishing undergraduate at Andrews University in southern Michigan and the dental graduate program at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, Dr. Abbott moved to Oregon to start practicing dentistry. He moved to Arizona in 2002 and started his practice in 2003. His practice has been recognized with awards as the most forward thinking in environmentally sound operating procedures. He has a wide range of interests, growing and maintaining his saltwater fish tanks, biking (when he can find time) but most of all he loves spending time with his wife and kids.
